2010 High School Scholarship |

NAAAP-Seattle is pleased to announce the 2010 NAAAP-Seattle High School Scholarship to encourage promising Asian American high school seniors seeking higher educational opportunities. This scholarship will award two winners in the Greater Seattle area. Each winner will receive $1,500 to go towards educational purposes.
To apply, complete an application form and submit it along with the most current official high school transcript. The deadline for submission is Wednesday, September 22, 2010. Procedure
Download the 2010 NAAAP-Seattle High School Scholarship Application. Applications may be sent electronically as a Microsoft Word document via email to naaap.scholarship@gmail.com (preferred) or mailed to the address: NAAAP-Seattle Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 19888, Seattle, WA 98109. Mail-in applications must be postmarked on or before Wednesday, September 22, 2010.
Please submit most recent official high school transcript. If submitted by e-mail, the transcript must be sent from your high school counselor's office e-mail address to naaap.scholarship@gmail.com. If submitted by US mail, the transcript must be official and sealed.
Eligibility
1. Must be high school seniors during the 2010/2011 academic year and graduating from high school in the Spring/Summer of 2011 in the Greater Seattle area
2. Must be entering the first year of college in the Fall of 2011
3. Must have a cumulative GPA 3.00 or higher (submission of most current official high school transcript is required)
4. Must be of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity as defined by the U.S. Census
Judging Criteria
1. Academic achievement
2. Leadership skills
3. Community activities and involvement
4. Scholastic activities and involvement
5. Work or other activities
6. Financial need
All Applications will be reviewed by the NAAAP-Seattle Scholarship Committee. A personal interview of semi-finalists will be scheduled.
Notification
Final scholarship winners will be notified during the 4th week of October 2010. Additional information may be required before completing the award process. Awards will be presented at the NAAAP-Seattle Gala in the Fall of 2010. Scholarship winners are required to be present and will be asked to give a brief acceptance speech at the Gala.

NAAAP Seattle is pleased to announce a brand new scholarship aimed at Asian American college student matriculating in a graduate program in the Greater Seattle area. This scholarship awards one recipient in the amount of $2000 to go towards educational purposes.
To apply complete an application form and submit along with two recommendations. Both application form and recommendations must be submitted via e-mail only. Procedure
Download the 2010 College Scholarship Application. You will need Microsoft Excel 2003 or above to use the application template. Please follow the instructions within the application for naming the file and email your completed application to naaap.scholarship@gmail.com
Please obtain two letters of recommendations including one letter from an academic school teacher or advisor and one letter from a community service leader or organizer.
Please email recommendation letters to naaap.scholarship@gmail.com in Microsoft Word or PDF format only. The recommendation letters can be either submitted with the application or separately. If the recommendation letters are sent separately, please ensure that your name is clearly referenced in the letter.
